If you want to find out how many batteries are in your device and what their sizes are, knowing the BCI group size can be a good place start. But this isn’t always enough information-batteries also vary by: -purpose (starting vs deep cycle), cell type(AGM vs gel)and chemistry Primarily lead acidic or nickel metal hydride cells? What kind of terminals does it have?
The battery groups and their dimensions in inches or centimeters are:

The battery group industry is a tough one to navigate, with so many different manufacturers and models. Luckily we have this cross-reference chart that lists all of the dimensions for you! Take note though – not only do these batteries include their size in millimeters but also which terminals they’re compatible with as well as what type base hold down or lifting edge mechanism may be present on each individual cell slot.”
The BCI Group 48 batteries have dimensions of 306 x 175x192mm with the positive terminal located on right side while comparable DIN/EN counterparts are H6(278×175 mm), L3 (276) & 66L 3(280). However 98R version has similar size but differs in shape making it more appropriate for variousated applications where higher current will be required such as electric vehicles or solar power plants among others.
The BCI group 48 is a maintenance free Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) battery which stands for Absorbent Glass Mat separator and is notably known as EFB. This lead acid battery will be the best suitable options with respect to cost and performance when it comes to deep cycle applications such as UPS systems, solar power plants and electric vehicles.
Although there are many comparisons with respect to amp hour ratings, life expectancy and deep cycling capabilities of both 48V and 12V batteries, the bottom line would be that if you need more capacity then go for 96V or 144V system as increasing voltage will increase both capacity as well as load supportability without sacrificing speed.
